Emmy Mott

Her fight for life

Emmy Mott Webpage

This is my granddaughter Emmy Mott.  She is 4 years old.  She was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.   It is Pontine Glioma which is like flakes of black pepper in jello. Pontine Glioma is an exceedingly rare form of terminal brainstem cancer that mostly affects the very young. Unfortunately, this cancer’s statistics are beyond horrifying.
•      There are only about 200 cases diagnosed each year.
•      Due to the diffuse nature of the cancer there are no surgical options, and current chemotherapies have been found to be ineffective.
•      With treatment, the median survival rate is less than 12 months.
•      The chance of continued survival beyond 1 year is less than 8%.

She was given eight weeks to live.  Through your prayers she lasted much longer!
